Adam and I went to the Radstock conference recently, which is a network of global churches connected for mission. We met several people from around the world who became Christians and are now leading churches in their countries. Below are some facts about them and ways we can be praying for them as a church in their various joys and trials. It is a great honor and privilege to know that we share in one hope with people who have such different resources and circumstances to our own, and that we can support and encourage them with our prayers, time and resources where there is opportunity.
Ukraine- Max and family. Doing a lot of work with addicts of drugs and alcohol. They have a big ministry to students and young families. They are wanting to plant more churches in more parts of Kiev but are low on funds and resources of leadership. They have about 60 members with several hundred others hanging around- but whom are afraid to commit as members because of bad past experiences with communism. They also do English camps, and are looking for a new building, but their options are limited at the moment and are looking at the possibility of a building to fit 500 people.
North India- Alok and family. There is a lack of Bibles as the church grows. And a lack of wells for clean drinking water for converts as they become outcasts after rejecting the regions native religion of Hinduism. There is also a lack of leadership/Bible handling for the vast amount of new believers. Spiritual warfare is also very visible. People everyday are seen with evil spirits in them.
Albania- Georgi and family. He is a bit disheartened because a quarter of his church leaves every year to go to Greece where they can get better paid jobs, including the 4 young men he was discipling for leadership. They don’t have a building to meet in so they squeeze into his house. It is generally tough going and the results are slow.
A really tough country- “Minne”- Going to set up a cafe business. Pray for her to receive additional funds but mostly to be protected in her witness and from persecution. She is very courageous as she is willing to go and put herself in very serious danger in order to make opportunities for some of the most trapped people in the world to hear the good news of Jesus.
We hope you are blessed as you pray and your vision for God’s global church and His purposes grows, as we were when we met these people and heard their stories. We will be keeping our eyes and minds open as we pray and consider what ways we can be a blessing and be blessed by these churches. If you would like more information take a look at www.radstock.org.

Thanks for putting this up. This was such a challenge to all of us who heard you talk about these people and a brilliant spur for us all to try and pray for these people who are really trusting in God in tough situations. It makes me more thankful for the freedom and material blessings that I have.
