We’re a church made up of all sorts of people in different situations, with a variety of jobs and from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. What sticks us together as a community is nothing more (or less!) than our common belief in the message about Jesus told by Bible. This message is summarised in our statement of faith.
As a church we try and operate rather like a family where everybody chips in to make things work which means everyone is important. We also have a leadership team of ‘Elders’ who oversea and lead our church by teaching and explaining the Bible.
Steve Palframan
Steve is married to Vanessa and they have four daughters, Grace, Anna, Elisse and Lucy. Steve is a Geography graduate from Sheffield University who has worked for a local authority doing IT development projects and with University students as a UCCF Staff Worker. For 3 years Steve was Associate Pastor at Cheam Baptist Church in Surrey while studying part-time at Oak Hill Theological College. In June 2006 he joined the staff team at Christ Church Liverpool then in September 2008 led a team from Christ Church to start a church in Aigburth. Jeremy Clark
Jeremy is married to Katie whose job is best described as “reading stories to sick people” - she mainly works with patients with dementia. Jeremy works 3 days a week as a GP in Belle Vale, Liverpool and the rest of his time with ACC. You might not guess it, but he has now lived in Liverpool since 1996 - longer than anywhere else in his life. Previously his homes have been Manchester, Hertfordshire, Cyprus and Nepal!
Nathan Chesney
Nathan is married to Rosie, who is a GP in Toxteth. Having studied Geography at Liverpool University, he has worked in urban regeneration for several years now - previously in Widnes and now for Liverpool City Council in housing renewal. When he’s not arranging for houses to be knocked down, he’s enthusiastic about coffee, Liverpool FC, and Essex!

Gen Barone
Gen is from Ohio in the USA! She came to Liverpool in 2006 to work with students, met her husband Adam, and they decided to stick around! Gens work for the church is particularly focused around supporting and encouraging women to grow in faith and trust in the gospel. Ask Gen about her TV claim to fame!
Adam Wilson
Adam is a graduate in Physiology from the University of Liverpool and recently married Gen and moved to Aigburth. Adam works alongside Steve as a Ministry Trainee so is involved in all sorts from admin to evangelism and one to ones to bible studies.
