What is Friday Nite Club and who is it for?
Friday Nite Club is the best way to begin the weekend! It’s a great place for young people (Junior school years 3-6) to make friends, play games, take part in activities and learn about Jesus from the Bible.
What happens at Friday Nite Club?
We usually begin by having a head-2-head challenge game that’s lots of fun! Then we gather together and learn about the good news of Jesus from the Bible. Afterwards, we head into the main hall, where there are big games and activities to do. We then finish off the evening with some hot chocolate and a chat!
When and where is Friday Nite Club on?
We start at 6:30pm and finish at 7:45pm every Friday night (except during school holidays).
We meet at Aigburth Parish Hall on Dundonald Road, L17 0AE.
What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing! It’s free!
Who are the leaders?
Jon is originally from South London (pronounced ‘Saff Lundun’) so naturally is a Man Utd fan. He blames poor parenting and a love of David Beckham for this decision. Jon studied Modern History and Politics at the University of Southampton and after graduating moved to Aigburth for a year to work as a trainee at the church. Jon is now kept busy working at a Marketing agency.
When he’s not annoying half of Liverpool with his geographically stupid support of MUFC, Jon enjoys reading, playing football (badly), cricket (worse), and pretty much anything that involves exercise or competition.
Katharine grew up just outside Belfast (like most people from Northern Ireland!) and after doing a PhD in biology moved to Liverpool in 2012 to work for the University. After finally deciding scientific research wasn’t for her (!) she worked for the church as a trainee for the past year, and is now going back to university. In her spare time Katharine likes playing her guitar, swimming (neither particularly well!) and attempting to bake.
Mark was born in the Dingle and moved to Aigburth at the age of 13 about 50 years ago. He worked as the Science lab technician at St Hilda’s High School for over 32 years before taking early retirement. He was married to Joyce who died of cancer in May 2006 going home to heaven to be with Jesus her Saviour. He likes to read, work on his computer & sing Christian hymns & songs and for exercise he goes walking & does DIY. Mark became a Christian at the age of seven after hearing some talks about Jesus at a children’s meeting and his Mum & Dad explained what it meant to become a Christian. So since the age of 14 Mark loves to work with young children to teenagers telling them about the Lord Jesus who loves them and died to save them.
Sarah grew up in Oxford, then studied maths at university. After graduating in summer 2013, she moved to Aigburth to be a Ministry Trainee here. She now works for a software company on the Wirral. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys baking, board games and playing the bassoon.
Grace grew up on a farm in Northern Ireland, though she’s spent the past few years at ACC whilst attending university in Liverpool.
David was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he grew up wrestling cattle, dueling outlaws with his six-shooter, and yodeling in a choir composed primarily of mountain-goats. Just kidding (mostly). In 2012, David moved to Northern Virginia to attend Patrick Henry College, where he studied Philosophy (… or did he?). There he began attending Sterling Park Baptist Church, mostly because of Mike Jones’s awesome accent. He liked Mike and Heidi so much that he crossed the pond in September 2016 to spend a year at ACC.
Grace is a 15 year old Christian, who has grown/is growing up in Aigburth Community Church. She is currently going her GCSEs in a local Secondary school. Grace enjoys art, music and spending time with people.

* All our leaders are CRB checked and we run a child protection policy which can be read here.
All children must register for Friday Nite Club so we know who’s there and have a record of contact details and any allergies, etc that we might need to be aware of. A registration form, which has to be filled in once for each child, is available at the sign-in desk when you arrive at Friday Nite Club to drop off your child.
